Last weekend, I managed to farm 20 Divine Orbs in Path of Exile 2, and I want to share exactly how I did it. It wasn’t just luck — it was about strategy, knowing where the value lies, and using my time smartly. If you’re looking for a solid way to stack up PoE 2 currency, especially high-value ones like Divine Orbs and Exalted Orbs, this guide is for you.
First off, I focused on map efficiency. Running high-tier maps repeatedly — especially ones with strong league mechanics like Expedition and Delirium — was key. I picked maps like Crimson Temple, Cemetery, and Strand, as they’re known for high monster density and potential drops. Before entering each map, I carefully rolled the map mods to maximize quantity and rarity. I avoided anything that could ruin the run (like no regen or reduced cooldowns), but stacked up modifiers like “more rare monsters” or “monsters drop additional currency”. Secondly, I used the Atlas Passive Tree smartly. I invested heavily into nodes that boosted currency drops, especially those affecting strongboxes, shrines, and Expedition encounters. Expedition, in particular, was a goldmine. It consistently dropped valuable PoE 2 currency like Chaos Orbs, Orbs of Annulment, and even raw Divine Orbs on rare occasions. For each Expedition, I focused on modifiers that gave logbooks or increased drops from Runic Monsters. The third piece of the puzzle was vendor flipping. This is one part of the game many players overlook. I used vendor recipes to convert lesser currency into higher ones. For example, selling full sets of identified rare items can earn you Chaos Orbs. Doing this repeatedly gave me a nice cushion of mid-tier currency, which I could then trade for higher ones. Also, don’t underestimate bulk trading. I stacked up hundreds of lesser orbs and fragments and used community trade websites to exchange them for Divine Orbs. I used U4GM once during the process to buy PoE 2 currency when I needed to bridge the gap for some gear upgrades. The experience was smooth and fast, and it helped me avoid wasting time grinding low-value content just to hit a specific number. Another key move was running Heist contracts, especially blueprints. Grand Heists can drop high-value rewards like Exalted Orbs, Orbs of Regret, and even unique items that sell well. I used my rogue team effectively — fully geared and leveled up — to ensure I could open every reward room and avoid failed heists. If you’re looking to farm PoE 2 currency fast, Heists are still worth the time if done right. Lastly, I always kept an eye on market prices. Certain currencies spike in value depending on the meta. For example, early in the league, Vaal Orbs and Chromatic Orbs can shoot up. I sold these in bulk when prices peaked and then bought PoE 2 currency I needed in return. |
